NOTICE OF PRICE PYTA 2012
Série limitée is pleased to invite you to the election of the Yacht de Tradition de l’Année (PYTA).
For the fourth consecutive year, this prize will be awarded to the vessel that has excelled in upholding yachting values. It is for this reason that elegance is one of the selection criteria.
This year, through its Yatcht Club, PYTA open for all “tradition” sailboats that wish to enrol.
Three selection criteria are considered:
- Authenticity
- Elegance
- The art of living
Based on those 3 criteria, the jury will pre-select the most beautiful "tradition" boats throughout the year and reward the winner with the Tradition Yatch Prize of 2012 during the awards ceremony that will take place on the 7th December 2012.
The prize takes the form of a trophy to be held high, in similar fashion to the Brennus Shield raised by rugby teams. It is also to be hung on the walls of yachting clubs, until its release for the following new season.
The first 3 trophies were awarded to Moonbeam IV, in 2009 , Bona Fide in 2010, and Mariquita in 2011.
The prize was awarded by Marie Tabarly, Maraine du PYTA during a ceremony organised in Paris at the Porte de Versailles nautical show.
